I got to see many familiar faces I've come to know over the past 6 years. It's really interesting to see all the new artists attending for the first time, going through all the interviews and shows. I guess it makes me feel a bit old. Somebody called me a "veteran" the other day and it scared the daylights out of me. Saturday I went to Valdosta, Georgia to do the acoustic show. It was the first time we'd played that particular venue, and it was daylight, so we couldn't really get candles and incense going, but the crowd was very attentive and kind.
It certainly has been a hectic time for me lately. " Every time I tour or come to visit, I always get this little pang in my heart. (that's my favorite place to eat here). Seriously, I guess no matter where you go, you always feel your "roots" when you go home. it's actually a popular Canadian casual sports clothing line, which I LOVE! The tour has been sold out in every market, and we've had great reviews and much success thus far with the "unplugged" show. We're doing a few select acoustic dates in the States too, so I hope the fans who've come out to all of the "electric" shows will dig this as much as we are digging doing them.
Oscar has been a very good boy and we have taken some really nice long walks in the wonderful parks around town. not all of the venues were desirable, but hey, I'm just glad there were people there! I just got a rough CD of the live "unplugged" show we recorded at the Trinity Church in Toronto. We're all so pleased with the way it sounds, you never know what might come of it. We're discussing some options. It TERRI CLARK / 40 was such an electrifying night and the crowd was so enthusiastic, the band and I were all at our best, and it was captured on tape beautifully.
