2 Ontology-Based Modeling of Environment Context Modeling the environment context is one of the essential issues in understanding the open environment. The dynamic nature of the open environment makes modeling of dynamic context a critical issue. However, there is little work on formal modeling of dynamic environment context. To this end, we proposed an enhanced ontology-based context model, which adopts static ontology to model static context, and adds timestamp and lifecycle description for dynamic context modeling .
We propose an ontology-based framework REquirement and ARchitecture ONtologies (REARON) to describe the requirement goals, environment context, and coordination among the services . REARON is a framework which enables us to fill the gap between users’ requirements, coordination of services, and the explicit environment processing facilities for the coordination. Base on this framework, we further study the ontology models for the environment context, as well as how to achieve online checking of environment situation.
On the other hand, Internet is now growing up into a “ubiquitous computer” which consists of a great and growing number of computing devices. Internet provides much more powerful supports for problem solving than traditional computer systems. In order to cope with such evolutionary changes of application domains and underlying hardware, software systems need to be online evolvable, continually responsive and self-adaptive. Based on object oriented methods, software components and other techniques, software entities are distributed on the nodes of Internet as active and autonomic software services.
