Based on the expertise of its members, and realizing that it could not possibly cover the entire range of science within the discipline, the committee chose to discuss three specific areas of interest: (1) challenges to the detection of psychological states and intentions via neurophysiological activity, (2) neuropsychopharmacology, and (3) functional neuroimaging.
